Our Amazing Race at Gold Reef City is a highly popular team building activity throughout South Africa. The event is designed to be inclusive, with low physical requirements and suitable for all ages. Participants are not required to go on rides and can instead focus on solving riddles and completing tasks. Teams will compete to solve riddles and complete challenges at various attractions such as the Anaconda, Golden Loop, Jozi Express, Miners Revenge, UFO, High Flying Maverick and the Storm Chaser. Points can also be earned by completing smaller tasks.

The second part of our Amazing Race focuses on imagination and creativity, with teams tasked to solve riddles, find non-existent locations, and even submit a group photo as proof. The event is fun and engaging, requiring no running and fitting for all ages.

The Amazing Race concludes with a buffet lunch at Barney's, where participants can enjoy a typical Tsogo Sun Lunch Buffet featuring dishes such as beef stew, chicken, curry, seafood, roast chicken, rice, pasta, sauces, veggies, baby potatoes, and a variety of cheeses, salads, and desserts. Begin your team building experience at Montecasino with 60 minutes of fun, passion, and energy, followed by our Amazing Race Imagination. This Amazing Race is designed to be inclusive, with low physical requirements and suitable for all ages. Teams will compete to solve riddles and complete challenges that test their imagination and creativity. The event will include a short detour, solving riddles, and finding non-existent locations, and even submitting a group photo as proof.

After a quick refreshment break, teams will participate in our new top-seller, the Pokemon Escape Room. Due to current COVID-19 protocols, this will be an outdoor event, but can also be done indoors. Participants will have 60 minutes to find all the Pokemon characters. Teams can either swap their Pokemon with other teams to unlock a digital vault or solve the riddles to open the vault. The activity is easy to understand, but it will be an adrenaline rush and have loads of drama like a treasure hunt.

The final leg of the Amazing Race includes Ten Pin Bowling at Montecasino. The Tin Pin Court opens at 11:00 am. This is a popular indoor event and suitable for all ages. The objective is to knock down all ten pins, and participants will receive a printed scorecard after the event. Our Ten Pin Bowling package includes a bottle of water.

The highlight of the Amazing Race is lunch at the Fireroom (±3 Halaal Meals included). We have included only the top sellers in a set menu with dishes that are chargrilled at your table. The menu includes options of Rump, Sirloin, Beef Ribs, Wagyu Burgers, and Lamb – all served with chips or salad. Poultry options include Chicken Schnitzel, Breasts and Salad, Yakitori Sticks, and Bang Bang Chicken – all served with chips or salad. The minimum number of participants is 20 and the offer expires on August 31, 2022. This package is available from Monday to Friday and includes meals and refreshments.

Our Amazing Race Team Building on golf cars is designed to be inclusive, with low physical requirements and suitable for all ages. There are about 40 seats available on the golf cars at the Joburg Zoo, but we can easily accommodate larger groups. Some golf cars are two-seaters and others are six-seaters. The event starts at 09:00 sharp and is a hilarious race that tests imagination and creativity. Teams will start with a short detour and then have to solve riddles and find non-existent locations, and even submit a group photo as proof.

The next leg of the Amazing Race is a 60-minute activity that includes fun, passion, and energy. The entire group will participate in various short activities such as People to People, 37 Finger Grab, Kissing the Baby, Circle of Dance, Knee to Knee, Surviving Joburg, Bang Bang, Human Knot, Jocky Mount, AKA, Circles, Nail Activity, and Imaginary Pics. Depending on the group size, not all activities will be completed but we will try to do as many as we can.

After a quick refreshment break with Tinkies and stilled water, teams will participate in our Ultimate Survivor outdoor team building activity with low to medium physical requirements. Teams will start by building a newspaper conveyor belt out of newspapers and cello tape which they have to race, followed by a hula-hoop race, and finish with one last activity. Utter synchronization and teamwork is required to complete this activity.

Finally, teams will participate in our Pokemon Escape Room. Due to COVID-19 protocols, this will be an outdoor event, but can also be done indoors. The Amazing Race concludes with a Halaal buffet braai at the Anglo Lapa. This is a casual braai and participants are encouraged to dish their meat from the gas braai. Meat options include tenderized steak, wors, and chicken served with assorted rolls and six salads - including potato, coleslaw, Greek, curry bean etc. All meat is either from the Laudium Halal Butchery or the Forsmay Muslim Butchery. Only new braai utensils are used and Jimmy's Braai Sauce (halaal certified). Soft Drinks include 340ml Coke, sprite etc. Participants are welcome to bring their own alcohol, but only moderate volume music is allowed (out of respect for the animals).

Then, based on the popular TV Series, it is louds of laughter guaranteed with our Minute to Win It. Teams are challenged with short one minute riddles and puzzles, i.e. balancing three golf balls, or taking a 5c coin out of stocking with one hand, or building a bridge out of a deck of cards, or bouncing a ping pong ball in a glass, etc.

Lunch is at Kream Montecasino, and Halaal Meals some are included in this Team Building Package.
