Gold Reef City is a prime team building venue in Johannesburg and are open for team building events from Monday to Thursday such as the Amazing race, Escape Room and Minute to Win It. Lunch consist of Gourmet Build a Burger at Barney's for smaller groups and a Buffet Lunch for larger groups.

Ice Breakers and Dividing Teams

The entire group do fun activities, at some time the mix of buddies and friends will be split apart. Then everybody get a number. All the “number 1’s” would be in a team, and all the “number 2’s” in another team, etc. About ten people per team works great for a team building event.

Amazing Race

Our Amazing Race has low physical requirements and is fit for all ages. Each of our venues have their own unique Amazing Race. Teams start with a short detour, then they have to find interesting places and WhatsApp a group photo, solve riddles and puzzles, and finally teams have to find an iconic venue. These photos are shown in a slide slow during lunch. Our Amazing Race is hilarious and is a race against imagination and creativity, has low physical requirements.

Giant Footlongs with Chicken Cheese Grillers, and a Bottled Water. Halaal Meals for lunch ordered from Barcelos on arrival.

Escape Room Games 

Teams have 60 minutes to break the code! due to corona protocols we are not going to lock you in a room to break out, instead this is an outdoor event. To start the magic, teams have piece together the clues, and finally decipher the mystic hieroglyphics. Clues include old coin stickers on portraits, riddles, mirror fonts, QR Codes, and loads of laughter

Giant gourmet beef and chicken burgers served with cheese, fries, assorted salads and a 340ml Soft Drink. If there are less than 20 people, burgers may be ordered from the Barney's Menu

The Buffet Lunch usually consist of a typical Tsogo Sun Lunch Buffet with of Beef Stew, Chicken, Curry or and Seafood, Roast Chicken, Rice, Pasta, Sauces, Assorted Veggies, Baby Potatoes, a table with Assorted Cheese & Salads, and a Desert Table with Malva Pudding and Custard, and Assorted Desserts. This menu is not cast and stone, and may vary from day to day.
